Easy to wash

Washing a wool changing pad cover is easy and hassle-free. You can machine wash the cover on a cold wool wash setting with a mild wool detergent. Avoid using bleach and fabric softener to preserve the natural properties of the merino wool. After washing, the cover can be dried flat, preferably away from direct sun and heat sources, to retain its shape and softness. These simple care instructions will always keep your changing pad cover clean, fresh and ready to use, making it a practical and convenient addition to the baby care routine.

Merino wool is one of the most loved materials for babies, and not without reason. This natural wool is known for its temperature-regulating, breathable and moisture-absorbing properties. This helps merino wool keep your baby comfortably warm when it's cold, and feel light and airy when it gets warmer.

Merino wool is also exceptionally soft, making it suitable for delicate baby skin. The fine fibres don't itch and feel comfortable, even with daily use. What's more, wool is naturally antibacterial, odour-resistant and self-cleaning, so it needs washing less often.

At Kico Label, we consciously choose high-quality, mulesing-free merino wool. A natural, sustainable choice that makes both your little one and the world around us happy.

Merino wool is often associated with warmth, but it's actually lovely on warmer days too.

As a mum, you want your baby to feel comfortable, even when it's warmer outside or the temperature changes throughout the day. Merino wool helps with that in a natural way. It breathes, feels light and adapts to your baby's temperature.

Getting warmer? The fabric stays airy and stops your baby from getting clammy or restless. That way, there's a lovely, snug feeling, without you having to think about it all the time.

It's exactly this unique combination that makes merino wool so special. It adapts to your baby's needs and offers comfort in every season. Whether you're on the go, enjoying quiet moments together at home or soaking up the sunshine outdoors, merino wool moves effortlessly with you.

Material:
100% merino wool

Wool is naturally self-cleaning and repels dirt and odours, so washing usually isn't necessary. Often, airing is enough to make your woollen item fresh again.

Odours? Wool can sometimes smell a little sheepy

A subtle woolly scent is completely normal; it comes from the natural lanolin in the wool. It usually disappears by itself, but it may briefly return when the wool gets wet.

Spotted some fluff? That's normal too.

Wool fibres sometimes need a little time to settle. Shaking it out, airing it or gently vacuuming is often enough. Is the fluff still there? Then put the item in the freezer overnight.

Stains? Here's how to deal with them

Spot-treat stains with a damp cloth (or, for a stubborn stain, with pure ox gall soap). Usually you don't need to wash the whole item.

Washing it anyway? Follow these steps

1. Wash by hand or on a wool programme.
2. Use lukewarm water (max. 20-30°C).
3. Use our own Kico Label wool wash with lanolin (or The Lab Co. for vegan washing).
4. Don't soak, rub or wring.
5. If you use the washing machine, choose a low spin speed (max. 400 rpm) and don't leave your woollen item sitting in the machine for long.
6. Dry the item flat and avoid direct sunlight. Don't hang wool up, to prevent it losing its shape.

Important: Wool is a natural material and every washing machine works differently. Washing is therefore always at your own risk.
